Youth Team Squads

The youth teams are an opportunity for our players to play matches and more futsal. This summer we have done things a little differently with 3v3 leagues at 2011/12 age groups and below. If you win a game you move up a court, if you lose you move down.

The 2009/10's will play a 3 game round robin and playing full futsal rules and conditions.

We will look to arrange external 5v5 futsal matches throughout the year and we will still have the 5v5 leagues over the winter months. We have also put proposals forward for national youth leagues with futsal specific clubs (more to follow soon).

The teams provide a pathway to the adult game and the adult Futsal Escocia teams. If a team is short of players, the first place a coach should look is to the league below for players. We expect our older players to help the younger ones asked to play.

At the youth age groups, player development is prioritised over results. Players should be looking to progress to the next level with some players playing over 2 levels whilst adapting to the transition.
