We spoke with Alfie shortly after he made a stunning move from Rangers to English Premier League giants, Newcastle United.
We were just awaiting international clearance and Newcastle United officially sharing news of his 5 year contract before sharing.
How does it feel to sign for Newcastle?
It feels unbelievable to be signing for a team like Newcastle. they are in a fantastic place right now.
Is it a dream to play in the English Premiership?
Yes, it is a dream to play in the Premier League. It has always been a milestone I wanted to achieve.
Did you think you'd be in this position 10 years ago?
No, not at all. 10 years ago I was playing for fun with Cairneyhill Athletic before it started getting more serious. I didn't think I would get this far but I know there's still a long way to go.
How did it feel to leave your boyhood club, Rangers?
It isn't a great feeling to be leaving after just a year, but I also felt it was the right time and decision to take the next step.
What are your ambitions for this season?
My ambitions are to get through the Euros qualifying group with my Scotland squads and to try and score as many goals as I can for Newcastle.
Where do you want to be in 5 years time?
In 5 years time, I would love to be in the Newcastle first team squads and hopefully close to the Scotland first team squads.
How did futsal help you in your development?
Futsal has helped me in everything in football. Close control, ball control, and tactics. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for futsal and Futsal Escocia.
Would you recommend futsal for any aspiring footballer?
I think every kid should be playing futsal from a young age. If you want to be a footballer then futsal provides a massive advanatage from a young age.
Alfie is a great example for our younger players. He wasn't in the pro system until he was older and he has went on to be one of the most sought after players in the country.
We will be watching and supporting Alfie on his journey. He started well with a debut goal against Blackpool. Go on Alf!!
