Here's an update on what's happening with our teams as we plan our schedule for 2025.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
We have a lot going on right now with our youth and adult sections.
Youth - The youth winter leagues are underway with 16 teams involved in Liga 1-8 action every week. The winter leagues continue until the 22nd February (Liga 5, 6 and 7), 23rd February (Liga 3A, 3B, 4 and 8) and 2nd March (Liga 1 and 2). There's a 2 week festive break between the 23rd December and the 5th of January 2025. Liga 1 and 2 have an extended break due to a first team match v Joga Futsal at Michael Woods on Sunday 12th January 2025.
Adult - Our First Team and B Team league and cup campaigns are well under way and we have external matches arranged for our u16s in December and beyond.
Due to Michael Woods no longer being available for first team matches after 8pm, we have had re plan our schedule at Michael Woods for 2025.

International competitions the standard is much higher than our reguonal activities and squad selection for external matches/competitions will be based on a number of factors:

EXPECTATIONS & CLUB VALUES
Our teams are open to everyone but we have clear values that we exoect our players and parents to adhere to. Unfortunately, a growing number of players are using futsal as a back up and are picking and choosing their matches without any consideration for the volunteer coach, the team, or their teammates. This does not align to over values of HUMILITY, EFFORT, AMBITION, RESPECT or TEAMWORK.
If players want to choose football or another activity that makes them unavailable for matches, training or camps, that is entirely their choice and we respect that.
We completely understand that players have other commitments and priorities, however, our volunteer coaches have been told to prioritise players that are turning up every week. Maybe being available is not an answer for our coaches. Players are either available or unavailable. Players who regularly say they are available but change to being unavailable at short notice will no longer be considered for selection.
If a team is short of players, coaches have been instructed to liase with coaches from the league below for additional players to make up a matchday squad. Coaches should nominate players based on attendance, attitude, effort and performance.
We strongly feel that this is the best way forward and has been successful in helping prepare the players for not just futsal but life in general. We want our players to understand that you get rewarded for hard work, good attitude, effort and performance.
If any parents have any questions re the above, please feel free to contact me.
