Our New Structure

April 7, 2025

We are always looking at ways to improve what we deliver and to further develop our players.

Over the past 10 years, futsal and Futsal Escocia have experienced continuous growth. We currently have over 400 players participating in our weekly activities. We believe futsal should be accessible to everyone, and it is crucial to provide each child with an environment that aligns with their abilities and aspirations.

We have secured additional hall hire to start new sessions from the start of May!!

Our new structure is divided into 5 pillars with activities from 4 years of age to adult. Which one is the most suitable for your child?!

Futsal Niños: For 4-6 year olds. These sessions focus on motor skills and developing the foundations of futsal and football. The sessions are fun based with 20 minutes of developing movements, 20 minutes of ball work to master the fundamentals, and 20 minutes of small sided games to introduce the children to competition (1v1 2v2). Our mascot Ricardo the Jaguar will be in attendance some weeks and players will learn basic Spanish throughout the session.

Game Changers: The feedback on our pilot week was incredible!! These recreational sessions prioritise enjoyment and skill development through varied pitch layouts and engaging Game Changer cards. They emphasise problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and teamwork, with minimal direct coaching.
This option is best suited for players seeking a fun, informal street football/futsal experience.

Academy Sessions: These sessions prioritise individual player development via focused coaching and weekly, game-related themes to cultivate well-rounded players. This option is ideal for players seeking expert guidance to elevate their game to another level.

Team Sessions: Exclusive to Futsal Escocia Youth Team members, these sessions emphasise tactical play and team cohesion. This is the for players looking to develop a full understanding of futsal and to play in external matches and competitions.

2v2s & 3v3s: These small-sided games in confined spaces promote rapid skill development through high-intensity play, frequent one-on-one duels, and continuous decision-making. A ladder format introduces a competitive element with weekly winners.
