We introduced some of our players to the new inflatable pitches at a recent summer camp and the response from all of the players was fantastic!!
The pitches offer something different to what we already provide in that you can use the sides to during play and they can be used on all surfaces.
What are the benefits of the pitches?
The surround and small playing area provide the base for developing different asspects of a players game.
Technical: Having a surround keeps the ball in play 96% of the time, meaning more touches of the ball. This creates a street football type environement that the kids are missing in the modern world. The enclosed pitch area provides more duals, more passing and shooting opportunities.
Tactical: A small sided environment helps develop tactical aspects both in and out of possession of the ball. We have observed far greater communication and organisation from players involved.
Mental: The small pitch areas challenge the players decision making process and improves game awareness and intelligence. You have to think much quicker in these conditions than larger pitches and larger sided games. Cognative skills learned during a small sided game are transferred to larger formats of football and futsal.
Physical: This is the one that the children noticed the most. The intensity of the game provides anaerobic challenges similar to a HIIT session. You definitely require subs to retain a high intensity throughout.
What's our plans with the pitches?
We plan to use the pitches to host regional and national 3v3 and 2v2 tournaments during the football breaks in the summer and winter. We already have plans for Str33t Feet Christmas Cups at Michael Woods between Christmas and New Year. Look out for more information on this soon!!
With the pitches being a massive hit at our recent camp, we will also be having Str33t Feet camps where players will get use of the pitches throughout the day and include mini tournamants at different age groups. You can book the following 1 day camps set up for August and November here:

Yes, pitches are available to hire for the following events:
Options include single or double pitches and goals. We currently have 2 double pitches (4 playing zones) available for use.
Prices will include setup and running of the events if required.
