THE ACADEMY WEEK AHEAD
This week our theme is ATTACKING with a focus on positioning, the importance of the pass, and awareness.
Last week we saw big improvements with the ball mastery exercises during CONTROL, TECHNIQUE and AWARENESS. You get results with practice and more contact time with the ball.
We encourage our players to have as much contact time with the ball as possible and they can do additional work from home by accessing the 7mlc site on YouTube (we covered some of his ball mastery last week). His content is fantastic and there's a reason why he has nearly 2m followers. It is also free!! You can access it all here:
BARCELONA TOUR 2026
So far 12 players have registered and it is defintely going ahead but we would like 4 more players if it is possible. Age groups of those attending are 2014-2017. If you want to attend the Barcelona Tour in 2026, please register asap.

SUCCESS STORIES
Congratulations to Logan Campbell (2015) on signing for St Johnstone. Logan has improved a lot since he started futsal and has done well to progress to pro academy level. The hard work doesn't stop there Logan, it has just started!!
TEAMS
First Team: For the 2nd week running, our first team narrowly lost out to league champions PYF Saltires with a 3-2 defeat in the SFL Super League in Perth. I didn't think we created enough during the game but defended well. We lost a 3rd goal whilst chasing the game and playing fly GK. This Sunday we are in home action against Super League newcomers Dalkeith Thistle. Kick-off is 6.10pm at Michael Woods.
B Team: Our B Team made it 2 wins out of 2 with a 6-3 win over Stirling University 2's. We should have been further ahead but it was a good 3 points. This Wednesday the guys play Edinburgh Deaf with an 8.05pm kick off.
Youth Teams: Our Liga 1-8 squads gathered at Michael Woods on Sunday, to play internal matches in their new teams and an opportunity to meet their new coaches. We will run a similar event on Sunday 19th October. Players who continually fail to turn up without reason or notification will be left out of squads during the leagues.
TRANSFERS
Everyone at Futsal Escocia would like to wish Kyle Fairley all the very best in his move to Super League side Dalkeith Thistle. Kyle will continue to train with our first team squad and train and play with Dalkeith in the SFL Edinburgh and the Super League. We are delighted that Kyle made this decision to go out there and get more minutes and experience under his belt. This shows a great level of maturity and willingness to play, and he has performed extremely well in both matches he has played so far. We look forward to seeing him on Sunday.
We would also like to wish B team captain Jude Henderson all the best in his journey. Jude has moved through to Glasgow for university and has joined Joga Futsal. Again, we are delighted to see that Jude is continuing his futsal journey and at a club with a similar ethos to ourselves. Jude has been a terrific example to those around him over his time at Futsal Escocia. He is humble, hard working and talented. A well liked member of the squad who is welcome back at any point in the future.
OCTOBER TEAM CAMPS
Numbers are increasing for our October camps. Please register asap to avoid disappointment.

TEAM SESSIONS
The perfect sessions for winter league preperation!! We are looking to add numbers to the 2010-14 and 2017/18's groups.
MADEIRA TOURNAMENT 2026
We will be taking teams to the Funchal Cup in Madeira 2026. Players for the tournament are selected based on attendance, effort, attitude, performance and their understanding of futsal from sessions and camps. The tournaments are a far higher standard than winter leagues but will provide the players, coaches and parents with valuable learning points and a greater understanding of futsal. Futsal Niños
Futsal Niños is for 4-6 year olds and it is the perfect place to start your futsal/football journey.
We have a fantastic wee group emerging at Inverkeithing and we still have limited number of spaces available in this session. You can register your child here:

STREET FEET CAMPS
The inflatable pitches are being used at all the top football academies across Europe to provide a street football type environment for players to develop greater technical skills, to encourage creativity, and to be more 1v1 dominant. No other academies offer this in Scotland and we are way ahead of the curve in this area, just as we were with futsal. You can book our November camp here:
