THE ACADEMY WEEK AHEAD
This week is games and medal week with a focus on 5v5 futsal. Numbers dependent we will have our popular Futsal Escocia Challenge warm up followed by matches with different conditions attached. This is a further opportunity to put all the hard work from the dualities, small sided games, and a focus on movement off of the ball into practice.
A reminder to parents that if you miss a session, your child can attend another to make up for it. A lot of players are putting this to good use!!
With the summer holiday approaching, we may combine smaller sessions over July and August. There may also be a move from Queen Anne to another venue over the holidays (tbc).
LATE ARRIVALS
We are recognising that more and more children are turning up late to training and matches. This is impacting on coaches organisation of sessions and teams for the 3v3s.
For matches, including 3v3s, players are to arrive 15 minutes early so they can be prepared to start as close to the hour as possible.
MICHAEL WOODS DISRUPTION
Due to a road run on Sunday 22nd June, no access is permitted until 3pm. This impacts on our 2-3pm session and we are looking for an alternative option. We will keep parents updated.
SUCCESS STORIES
Congratultions to Liam Ford on 10 incredible years at Futsal Escocia. Liam is well loved and has been a massive part of the club since he was 5 years old.

Congratulations to Morgan Band who was selected for the Emerging Scottish Talents Programme.
Morgan trains with the girls at Kirkcaldy on a Friday, attends our Thursday session at Michael Woods, and she is part of our teams mixing with the boys.
Well done Morgan!!
Congratulations also goes out to Arran Gaw who was player of the match when his team won the Crossford Gala Cup. Arran is just 5 years of age and is doing extremely well in our Tuesday Game Changers group at Carnegie Lesiure Centre. It was lovely to see a kid soo happy with his achievement and showing off his trophy.

This Sunday we have some matches lined up against Joga Futsal in Paisley for 2013/14, u14, and u16 age groups.

WHAT'S NEW?
Dyslexia Training
15% of children in a classroom are dyslexic and I suspect that the number will be higher in sports.
I must confess that this was something I hadn't fully grasped, and thanks to Jamie Oliver, it's something we will now address to ensure the best possible environment for every child.
We are providing dyslexia awareness training for all our coaches, and will be adjusting our session delivery methods accordingly.
We will explain things verbally, visually using a tactics board, and with demonstrations with players on the court. The session plans we share will also be helpful to some of our players.
If your child is dyslexic or is having difficulty processing information please let us know, including your childs preferred learning method.
Futsal Niños
We just recently relaunched our Futsal Niños sessions for 4-6 year olds at Inverkeithing. We have a great wee group emerging and we still have limited number of spaces available. You can register your child here:

Street Feet
We have ordered 4 x inflatable 3v3 pitches that can be used on any surface, indoors and outdoors.
The pitches should arrive by mid July and we will be using the pitches for the following once they arrive:
We have invested a lot of money into this project to further promote our belief in the benefits of small sided games.
The pitches are frequently used by the big football academies across the world to provide a street type football environment. You can do exactly the same with Futsal Escocia.

We have 2 weekly camps available to book at Rosyth Fleet Grounds in July and a 1 day 3v3 camp using the new inflatable 3v3 pitches at Michael Woods in August.
