ACADEMY
This week is BALL RETENTION week with a focus on building from defence and rotations.
The SFA recently published a review on youth football in Scotland and it reported that futsal and playing on hard court surfaces are important for player development. The review also highlighted the importance of free play like we offer at our camps and frequesntly at our sessions. The more contact time players have with a ball the better.
We encourage our players to do additional work from home by accessing the 7mlc site on YouTube (we covered some of his ball mastery last week). His content is fantastic and there's a reason why he has nearly 2m followers. It is also free!! You can access it all here:
NOVEMBER CAMP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LEWIS BLACK FOOTBALL ACADEMY
We have a real treat in store for players who register for the in-service day camp at Michael Woods on Friday 14th November.
We are using multiple surfaces to accomodate different training and playing zones that we believe will tick all the boxes for players and parents.

Indoor Hall
This ticks all the boxes for player development with different levels of intensity and challenges at each zone. A variety in conditions, surfaces, and balls are key to player development and the different zones will keep the players motivated throughout the day. We recommend to book asap here:

We will also be running a Street Feet Christmas Cup at different age groups at the Michael Woods Arena between Christmas and New Year. Who will be our 3v3 chanpions?! Look out for further information on this soon!!!
BARCELONA TOUR 2026
So far 12 players have registered and it is definitely going ahead but we would like 4 more players if it is possible. Age groups of those attending are 2014-2017. If you want to attend the Barcelona Tour in 2026, please register asap.

The itinerary includes:
TEAMS
First Team: The first team were 2-0 winners against Dalkeith Thistle. It was pleasing to keep a clean sheet but we found our very own Kyle Fairley in fantastic form for Dalkeith and he played a massive part in keeping the scoreline lower. The match was also a great opportunity to provide 3 B Team players with first team minutes and Sean Martin was awarded the MOTM. Congratulations to Tono Sotelino and Kyle fairley who were named in the SFL Super League teams of the week.
B Team: Our B Team lost out to Glasgow Deaf in the Scottish Cup last Wednesday. The boys were 3-1 up but conceded 2 late goals to make it 3-3 and lose out on penalties.
Under 16's: The u16's lost their unbeaten record in the SFL u16 National League after a 6-5 defeat away to Strathaven Dynamo. The boys were disappointed with the result but there are lots of learning points to take from the game.
Youth Teams: Our winter leagues started last weekend with all 8 leagues in action on Saturday and Sunday!! The teams had mixed results but the coaches are overall pleased with their progress.
We are also looking for a few more parents to assist with the teams.

Futsal Niños is for 4-6 year olds and it is the perfect place to start your futsal/football journey.
