ACADEMY
This week is SMALL SIDED GAMES week with different pitch sizes, layouts and conditions.
The SFA recently published a review on youth football in Scotland and the importance of small sided games, futsal and playing on hard surfaces for player development. The review also highlighted the importance of free play like we offer at our camps and during small sided games week. The more contact time players have with a ball the better.
We encourage our players to do additional work from home by accessing the 7mlc site on YouTube (we covered some of his ball mastery last week). His content is fantastic and there's a reason why he has nearly 2m followers. It is also free!! You can access it all here:
KIRKCALDY CLOSURE
As detailed in emails to parents, Kirkcaldy is closed for work on the floor this week. Alternative options have been sent for those who normally attend a Wednesday session at Kirkcaldy.
NOVEMBER CAMP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LEWIS BLACK FOOTBALL ACADEMY
Numbers are really good for this camp and we are nearly sold out.
We are using multiple surfaces and coaching methods to create different training and playing zones that we believe will tick all the boxes for players and parents.

This ticks all the boxes for player development with different levels of intensity and challenges at each zone. A variety in conditions, surfaces, and balls are key to player development and the different zones will keep the players motivated throughout the day. We recommend to book asap here:

We will also be running a Street Feet Christmas Cup at different age groups at the Michael Woods Arena between Christmas and New Year. Who will be our 3v3 champions?! Look out for further information on this soon!!
TEAMS
First Team: After a week off, the first team are back in league action this weekend with an away match against Aberdeen FA. It is an important match in our quest to finish in a play-off position.
B Team: Our B Team made it 5 wins out of 5 with a 7-3 victory over a good Nerazzurri side. This week we play Dalkieth Cardo in a top of the table clash.
Under 16's: The u16's have no matches this week.
Youth Teams: We have Liga 1-8 fixtures again this weekend. Some of the teams put in tremendous effort and performances last weekend, whilst others need to understand that futsal is not football. It is played at a much higher level of intensity.
