ACADEMY
This week is BALL RETENTION week. The focus is will be positional awareness and scanning both in and out of possession.
Now that light nights are returning, we encourage our players to do additional work from home by accessing the 7mlc site on YouTube. Individual practice is vital for any aspiring footballer and mastering the fundamentals can be done from home and in their own time. The 7mlc content is fantastic and there's a reason why he has nearly 2m followers. It is also free!! You can access it all here:
We are also looking at starting small group football sessions that will be 90 minutes long. These will focus on mastering the ball (30 mins), game related exercises (30 mins), and small sided games (30 mins). Groups of max 8 outfield with older groups having keepers.
Is this something that would interest you as a parent?

GOALKEEPERS
The feedback from training with Jonny was excellent. We are looking to start monthly goalkeeping specific sessions from April onwards. We would also like keepers involved in any small group sessions we start.
TEAMS
First Team: The first team had no game last week, but have important in the Scottish Cup and the playoffs to prepare for. We play Strathaven Dynamo at Michael Woods in the Scottish Cup Quarter Final, on Sunday 22nd of March. 4:10pm kick off.
B Team: The B Team collected another 3 points with a 3-0 win over Stirling University. Liam Kelly scored all of the games, incredibly all coming from free kicks, and this earned him the man of the match award.

Under 16's: The u16's remain top of the league with Joga futsal still to play in what could be a title decider in the u16 National League.
Youth Teams: The 2012/13 age group participated in the first ever SFL Scottish Cup at the weekend. We had a mixed bag of results with the Turqouise team beaten heavily by Raith Rovers, the White team losing out on penalties, and the Blue team scoring a dramatic last minute winner to defeat Perth Youth Futsal. The Blue team now progress to the semi-finals that take place next Sunday!!

STREET FEET SCOTTISH CUP 2026
The Street Feet Christmas Cup was a resounding success and it was fantastic to see so many Escocia players involved with their friends and teams. This year we are looking to run regional events across Scotland with a national final. Competitions are likely to take place during July 2026 with national finals in December.

KITS
The previous order should be getting delivered soon. It has been delayed with flight issues in the middle east.
We are also in the process of designing new kits which will be launched later this year (September). Here is our mascot Ricardo wearing some of the designs.

We will get samples of the above and some goalkeeper kits very soon.
