ACADEMY
We are back to our curriculum after the Easter holidays and this week is the most important week of the block. CONTROL, TECHNIQUE and AWARENESS are the fundamentals of futsal and football. This week there is a focus on, game awareness and players decision making and movement off of the ball.
Now that light nights are back and the kids are off schoool, we encourage our players to do additional work from home by accessing the 7mlc site on YouTube. Individual practice is vital for any aspiring footballer and mastering the fundamentals can be done from home and in their own time. The 7mlc content is fantastic and there's a reason why he has nearly 2m followers. It is also free!! You can access it all here:
SCOTLAND SELECTION
Congratulations to Paul 'Buddy' Mitchell in receiving his Scotland Schoolboys cap after playing for the Scotland side last month. Buddy is also heading to the USA to start a football scholarship in August. Great work, Buddy!!

PRICE CHANGES
I would like to inform you of a small adjustment to our monthly fees across our programmes. When Futsal Escocia went VAT registered, it was to enable more children to play futsal, but I also knew that it would mean price increases over the next 3 years.
I do not take increasing prices lightly and I take enormous pride in making futsal as affordable a possible. With the price increases we will remain are one of the affordable academies in Scotland with futsal academies in Glasgow and Aberdeen being £36 a month. We are also comporable or less than most football academies in Fife, despite football having much lower pitch costs and being able to accommodate larger numbers.
Discounts will still be in place for players doing multiple sessions and for siblings.
The updated pricing will be as follows:
Any other subscription plans, please feel free to contact me.
These changes allow us to continue delivering high-quality sessions while covering the increased costs of facility hire, coaches, websites, equipment, insurance, fuel, and the overall running of the academy.
Our focus remains on providing players with the best possible platform and environment to develop not just as players but as people.
I appreciate your continued support and academy players/parents will be rewarded for their loyalty with discounted rates on the up and coming small group sessions, camps, and birthday parties.
CAMPS
Our Easter Camp was a great success with over 50 players attending over the course of the week. Our next confirmed camp is a Street Feet camp using the inflatable pitches in June.

We are looking at an introduction to small group session on the 7th of May and we will also be running the following camps later in the year:

GOALKEEPERS
The feedback from training with Jonny was excellent. We are looking to start monthly goalkeeping specific sessions from April onwards. We would also like keepers involved in any small group sessions we start.
TEAMS
First Team: The First Team gave it everything but lost out to Perth. The scoreline is not a reflection of the game with the Perth keeper making some incredible stops in the first half. The match highlighted the fine details in futsal, in particular in the final stages. We were punished for mistakes made, whilst we were not able to capatilise on good opportunities created and errors made by them.
Thanks for the incredible support on Sunday. This week we face Super League Play-Off finalists FC33 in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup in Dundee. We will be doing what we can to reach the final and to have an Escocia day out in Perth in June.

B Team: The B Team lost out 5-3 to North Merchiston Vale in their final match. The guys got their well earned trophy and medals at the end of the match.

Under 16's: The u16's remain top of the league with Joga Futsal still to play in what could be a title decider in the u16 National League.
Youth Teams: The 2012/13's are in Scossie Cup action in Edinburgh this weekend, whilst everyone else has 3v3's. As always, players will be selected for external events and squads based on attendance, effort and ability. You earn the right to be selected.
STREET FEET SCOTTISH CUP 2026
The Street Feet Christmas Cup was a resounding success and it was fantastic to see so many Escocia players involved with their friends and teams. This year we are looking to run regional events across Scotland with a national final. Competitions are likely to take place during July 2026 with national finals in December.

KITS
The new kit samples are on their way. We will let players choose what they would like as soon as they arrive.
