ACADEMY
We had a really successful week with the first girls only and new Ninos session going extremely well. I am excited about the future of those groups!!
This week is BALL RETENTION week with a focus on creating overloads and rotations. Rotations are becoming more important in football with more teams going man for man and a lot of the movements being used at the top level come from futsal.
Russell is in for an operation on Thursday and is likely to be off coaching duties for the next 2 weeks. Please show the coaches the same respect as Russell and make their life easier over the next fortnight.
SMALL GROUP SESSIONS
We ran pilot camps over the summer and the feedback was excellent. 90 minute session that include ball mastery, mastering the fundamentals, speed and agility, game related coaching, fotball specific fitness. Every player also gets personalised feedback.
We are starting with 4 Small Group Sessions at Caledonia High School in October with the intention to add more in the future.

TEAMS UPDATE
Parents should have a seperate email on how to register for the teams. The teams are open to all Futsal Escocia Academy players at a discounted fee per month.
Adult - The adult teams have been playing friendly matches in preperation for the Super League and SFL Edinburgh that start later this month. Fixtures tbc
Youth - This weekend is 3v3's at Michael Woods. Please update the TeamFeePay app. The 3v3's will continue to the end of September before we allocate teams for the winter leagues leagues that start in November. Over October we will play internal matches in our teams to prepare.
We will also be looking to take a 2012/13 side to the Scossie Cup in Aberdeen on the 17th and 18th of October. Please update TeamFeePay with availability and we will select a squad asap.
As highlighted in the summer update, we will also be heading back to Madeira next July. Selection will strictly be based on attendance and performance at team and academy activities.
NEW KITS
The new kits are available to order now. Kits can be purchased by any player and are a must for players who are looking to be involved in the Futsal Escocia Teams. Kits will remain active for 2 years to try and keep costs down.

Kits must be paid in full before the order is processed fully. An order is already in production. This will arrive in time for the winter leagues.
BARCELONA 2027
We have had a good response for our Barcelona Tour 2027 and can confirm that we will be going. We still have a limited number of spaces available for this but registration will be closed from October.
We are lucky with fixtures this year with opportunities to go and watch Barcelona at both futsal and football whilst we are over!!

CAMPS
We wil be running camps over the October holidays. We just need to establish the venue. We are keen to offer football and futsal options at the same camp. Look out for further information coming soon.
