ACADEMY
Firstly, it has been a very good week for ex Escocia players being selected for and representing Scotland.
An incredible 7 players were selected for the u17 and u19 male and female sides with a few others unfortunate to miss out on selection.
As a coaching organisation, we take great pride in seeing players we have coaches going on to have success. We have played a larger role in some of the players development than others, but ultimately the credit goes to all the players. You need to have that hunger and desire to succeed, and if a player has those attributes we can most definitely help them on their journey.
This week is CONTROL, TECHNIQUE and AWARENESS week with a focus on control and technique at the start and game awareness and decision making in game related practices afterwards.
SMALL GROUP SESSIONS
The response for the small group sessions has been excellent. We still have a few spaces left in the 2018/19 group but the others are full or near capacity (image to be updated). We are also looking for additional keepers at each session.
I am really excited about the small group sessions as we can focus on developing the player technically, physically, and improve their game awareness and intelligence through game related practices. The feedback will be honest and include ways for the players to further develop in their own time.

TEAMS UPDATE
Parents should have a seperate email on how to register for the teams. So far, 37 new players have registered and they will be included in our 3v3 and 5v5 leagues over the winter. The teams are open to all Futsal Escocia Academy players at a discounted fee per month.
Adult - The B Team are continuing to have friendlies on a Wednesday in Edinburgh with the league starting in October. Our first Super league match is away to Joga Futsal on Sunday the 11th of October.
Youth - Well done to everyone at the 3v3's on Sunday. We now prepare for the winter leagues with training matches on the 4th and the 11th of October (check and update TeamFeePay with availability).
We have confirmed that we will be registering a 2012/13 side to the Scossie Cup in Aberdeen on the 17th and 18th of October. The squad will be finalised today or tomorrow.
As highlighted in the summer update, we will also be heading back to Madeira next July if there's enough interest from players. Selection will strictly be based on attendance and performance at team and academy activities.

NEW KITS
The new kits are in production and will hopefully be here in October.
Any new orders will go in the next order in October. Those orders should arrive for Christmas.
Kits can be purchased by any player and are a must for players who are looking to be involved in the Futsal Escocia Teams. Kits will remain active for 2 years to try and keep costs down.

Kits must be paid in full before the order is processed fully. An order is already in production. This will arrive in time for the winter leagues.
BARCELONA 2027
We have had a good response for our Barcelona Tour 2027 and can confirm that we will be going. We still have a limited number of spaces available for this but registration will be closed from October. Please book asap if you want to go.
We are lucky with fixtures this year with opportunities to go and watch Barcelona at both futsal and mens and womens football whilst we are over!!

CAMPS
We are running a futsal camp during the second week of the holidays at Dunfermline Learning Campus. There are still spaces available.

STREET FEET CAMP
We also have a Street Feet Camp at Michael Woods for the in service day on the 13th of November. This will include 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments, street football and a small group session. A mix of different activities for different age groups throughout the day.
