ACADEMY
This week is ATTACKING week and focusing on the imprtance of being at the back post. We will also continue with our rotations from last week. repetition is important to understand rotations.
Now that light nights are back and the kids are off school, we encourage our players to do additional work from home by accessing the 7mlc site on YouTube. Individual practice is vital for any aspiring footballer and mastering the fundamentals can be done from home and in their own time. The 7mlc content is fantastic and there's a reason why he has nearly 2m followers. It is also free!! You can access it all here:

BARCELONA 2027
I am delighted to announce that we are heading back to Barcelona in 2027. We are extremely fortunate that our players have the opportunity to experience the FC Barcelona methodology from their coaches and to train on the pitches at the famoua La Masia training complex. The same facilities used by Lamine Yamal, Pedri and co!!
The tour is the second week of the Easter holidays with training sessions taking place on Monday the 5th of April to Thursday the 8th of April. The tour will also include a stadium tour, a jorney on the official FCB team bus and much more.
The itinerary will hopefully include attending futsal and/or football matches depending on fixtures.

TEAMS
It has been an exciting end to the seasons across the teams. This week we had 3 cup finals and a league decider and unfortunately they didn't go our own way.
Let's start with the good news!!
First Team: The first team defeated Aberdeen in a tense and competitive Scottish Cup Final. The boys overcome a lot of challenges and scored with 30 seconds remaining to win 4-3. This is our first major piece of silverware in the SFL and we will look to buildon that next season and in the future. Ryan Shanley was MOTM with a hatrick and Liam Kelly scored our other goal.

B Team: The B Team lost out 5-3 to Dalkeith Thistle in the final of the SFL Edinburgh League Cup. We created enough chances to win the game but found Kyle Fairley in fine form.
Under 16's: The u16's needed just a point for the title but they lost out 6-2 to a good Joga futsal side who went on to win the league.
Youth Teams: Our Futsal Escocia Blue took part in the Youth Scottish Cup Finals on Sunday where they defeated Donside 2012's 5-3 in the semi-final before losing out by the same scoreline to Second to None Futsal in the final. The boys were disappointed as they were 3-1 up.
It is important for our youth teams to experience both victory and defeat as part of their learning. It is also important for the players and parents to fully understand what proper futsal is. They can be proud of their efforts this year, but also learn about how to improve.
We want our players and teams to experience as much futsal as possible and to create a proper club atmoshphere from youth to adult. In our opinion, far too many football teams are just teams with no connection to the club. We want to change that with Futsal Escocia and we have exciting plans with more youth activities, u17 and u19 leagues, B Team and First Team squads as well as creating a female pathway to replicate the one we have with the males.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support the teams this week. It does not go unnoticed and is appreciated by all of the players and staff.
STREET FEET SCOTTISH CUP 2026
The Street Feet Christmas Cup was a resounding success and it was fantastic to see so many Escocia players involved with their friends and teams. This year we are running a summer edition in Fife and other regions with the winners competing in national finals that will take place during the festive break in December. Register your team here:
